How many people do you need for an exodus?
How do we measure an individual’s identity?
After how many generations is somebody integrated?
How many kilometers from home is a migrant in his mind?
Where do borders start and end?

Max Hornaecker – El Dorado

When talking about migration, the distinction between “shared feeling” and reality often depends on subtleties. However, it would be impossible to tell every story or even to count them. By bundling stories of border crossings together, it is easy to confuse individual choices with global emergencies, ethnic groups with religions, and waypoints with desired destinations.

WHERE WHEN HOW MANY? a group exhibition curated by Wild Mazzini, in collaboration with Matteo Moretti.
